Further Instructions About Submissions
Our ISO 17025-accreditited quality system requires that we have written instructions to accompany each sample. Written instructions can come in the form of a purchase order or AADFW laboratory order form. We prefer that a printed copy of the test instructions be included in the shipping container with the samples. Any samples that do not arrive with written instructions go into our contract review process and are not tested until proper documentation is received and matched with the test sample which can delay turnaround of your test results.
The written instructions must be traceable to the individual test sample. Best practice is to mark the sample with a PO number, part number, or serial number that is also listed on the instruction. Clearly identifying which parts go with which instruction is particularly important when submitting multiple samples.
Written instructions should include two broad categories of information, part information and test instruction. Part information is any information you need flowed down to your test certificates like part number, lot number, end customer, etc. Test instructions should include specific callouts for the type of test required and required test methods.
If you need your certification to include a pass/fail determination, we will need acceptance criteria specified in your instructions. You can list your acceptance criteria directly on your PO or you can call out the specification or drawing where the criteria appear.
Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding the submittal process. We are happy to help guide you through the process to make sure your testing is done as quickly as possible.
Please include contact information on your test instructions in case any questions arise during the testing process.
